The Mom On m My Street Who Had a Tumor Part 2 1/2

This is part two and a half because its not really following the story. I thought that I would fill you in on how the kids were taking the whole thing. I’m going to go through each child individually youngest to oldest.

M.E. (Mary Elizabeth)
Age: 7

M.E. is the youngest of the three children. She is one of those children that is shy around people she doesn’t know, but once she gets to know you better she is full of energy and fun. When M.E. found out the bad news she was very upset. But I don’t think that she really understood the gravity of the situation. But she was sad because there was something wrong with her mom and what seven year old wouldn’t be sad about that.

Briden

Age: 9

Briden is the middle child.  He is the type of kid that isn’t shy around new people at all. He is loads of fun and always wants to hang out with the big kids. When Briden found out about his mom, he was sad. But I still think he didnt sense the gravity of the situation either. But he understood a bit more than M.E. did. He didn’t cry that often but he was still pretty heartbroken.

 Collin

Age: 15

Collin is the oldest of the children. He is not shy but not ecstatic around new people either. He is energetic and loves to have a good time with his friends.  When he found out his mother had a tumor he completely understood the situation was very bad. He knew that it could be deadly and that his mother was scared and afraid that she had a high risk of losing a lot. He told me that he cried only sometimes at night when he was alone because he didn’t want to make anyone else sad. He took this the hardest out of the three children. Because he knew what could really happen to his mom. When his mom told him that she would be fine and nothing was going to happen to her, he could see it in her eyes that she didn’t know what would happen.

I think that this was a cool post to write because it compared all of the kids’ feelings on a single event. I think you could have elaborated on each one of the kids because the actual content lacked substance. Overall good job.
